The New 2013 Chevy Cruze Will Come to Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and Round Lake Next Fall

The new 2013 Chevy Cruze is headed to Mundelein, Vernon Hills, and Round Lake, along with the surrounding areas, in the fall of next year. The Cruze joined the Chevrolet family last year, and since its arrival it's gone straight to the top. Both consumers and critics alike are raving about its sharp looks, quality build, fuel efficiency, and affordability, all of which combine to put this small car at the head of its class.


Standard Features of the 2013 Chevy Cruze

Chevy is not expected to make any major design changes to the new 2013 Chevy Cruze. It should come with a starting price of around $16,720 and will continue to come available in four trim levels: the LS, LT, LTZ, and the fuel efficient Eco. Past models have come well-equipped with an array of great standard features including:

  • AM/FM Stereo with CD player
  • MP3 playback
  • Three free months of SiriusXM Satellite radio

The Fuel-Efficient Chevy Cruze has Plenty of Power

The current 2012 Chevy Cruze LS is powered by a 1.8L i4 engine that generates 136 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque. The LT, LTZ, and the Eco, are all equipped with a turbocharged 1.4L i4 engine that produces 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. The LS, LT, and Eco, all come standard with a six-speed manual transmission with the option of a six-speed automatic transmission, and the LTZ gets the automatic as standard equipment. The Cruze gets 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway with the standard manual trans and 22 mpg city/35 mpg highway with the automatic. The Cruze's turbocharged engine gets 26 mpg city/38 mpg highway. The Eco, which is focused on fuel economy, gets the highest ratings, coming in at 28 mpg city/42 mpg highway with the manual transmission. It's expected that the 2013 Cruze will continue to offer the same engine choices as the 2012 models throughout the entire line-up.
