I have given Libertyville Chevrolet the top rating in all categories. I have done this because once again, Libertyville Chevrolet has met or exceeded all of my expectations when I purchased my new 2011 Tahoe LTZ this past Friday (2-18-11).

Why am I taking the time to write this review? Because for me, the ability to make my vehicle purchase a fun and hassle free experience is very important, especially in today's automobile environment. To be honest, I could buy a Chevrolet vehicle from more than a dozen Chevrolet dealerships in my geographical area. The vehicle would be the exact same no matter where I purchased it. But what is definitely not the same is the people at Libertyville Chevrolet who always treat me like I am the most important person every time I walk into the dealership. It doesn't matter if I am going in to purchase a new or used vehicle or going in to have one of my vehicles serviced. The friendly, professional service is always given to me time and time again.

They make buying my vehicles a pleasant experience and the reason I am taking the time to write this review is because I have purchased 5 vehicles from Jim Spellman, the owner of Libertyville Chevrolet over the last 2 years. Keith Gunning has been my salesman and Manny Reyes took care of the financing. Also, Kevin Paddock has serviced some of the vehicles I own including upgrading my 2010 Camaro SS with some high end racing options. I feel that these people and this dealership deserve some recognition for the way they take care of me when I walk in the dealership, and how they make me feel that I can't wait until the next time I need to purchase another vehicle.

And what is most impressive to me is that this great experience was not a one time thing, or it only happened because I happened to walk in on a good day. This professional and friendly treatment I get has happened every single time I visit Libertyville Chevrolet. I depend on the vehicles I own for personal and business use. I need a dealership staffed with knowledgeable, friendly people that will make my vehicle buying experience a smooth and memorable one. And that is exactly what I get at Libertyville Chevrolet. After all, buying a new vehicle should be fun and that's exactly what it is at Libertyville Chevrolet. They delivered in the past, they delivered this last weekend and I am sure they will deliver for me in the future. Thanks to all at Libertyville Chevrolet!

Manny and the sales manager were excellent to work with. We came in with a USAA quote from another dealership and with a bad taste in our mouth from that other dealership (Rockenbauch-grayslake IL) that we were considering going with a different brand all together. Manny was so easy to work with and willing to do what was necessary to honor the USAA price that we came back with the downpayment (11K) and even financed the remainder with GMAC instead of USAA finance (we were pre-approved with USAA at a comparable rate). The extra perks with the dealership (free tires for life) sold my wife on how dedicated Libertyville Chevy is to their customers and we even sprung for the extended warranty so all our service would be done at our preferred dealor. Libertyville Chevy should contact USAA and find out why they didn't come up on their preferred dealor list for military members, they definately deserve the 5 star rating. Again, Manny was easy and an excellent sales/finance associate and will get our business again when it is time for my new car later this year.

John was very helpful in finding the right car for the right price for us. We had a budget and were able to find the perfect car in our price point with all the updated features thanks to John. Andrew was also very helpful with teaching us how to use On star, which is a great feature to have in the car. Brad answered all the questions we had and made sure to keep in contact with us. It is a friendly, great environment for a dealership, there was no point in which we felt pressured to buy anything. Which is great.

I went into the service department on a Saturday afternoon at 4pm. I was visiting family in the area and went searching for help with what I believed to be a leaking tire. Steve Baker addressed my issue immediately and I was on my way within the hour. He and the Service Tech were professional, courteous and expeditious. Job well done.

It turned out that the tire was not damaged, just low. In fact they all were. Dan brought them all up to the proper inflation levels. Steve would not charge me for the work, even when I pushed it. He said that since they did not actually "fix" anything, he did not feel right about charging me. Honor and decency are sadly rare in the world of car dealer service departments. Fortunately, they are alive and well at Libertyville Chevrolet.

I went in with my dad to look at the Equinox and we were greated at the door right away by someone who directed us to Doug Nykel. Doug was very knowledgeable on the car I was looking at and most friendly to deal with. He answered all of our questions and helped me get into the right car. John was great to work with on pricing and everyone else along the way was just as fantastic. Other sales people in the showroom, that I wasn't even working with, were very friendly as well and we laughed and joked as I waited for my turn to go into the finance office. Thanks to everyone there for making this experience better then any other trip I've ever made to a car dealer!! I can't wait for my first oil change so I can go in and say hi to the gang!!
