Alignment Services

  • Two-Wheel Alignment – Also known as a front-end alignment, two-wheel alignment is generally performed on vehicles with a solid rear axle; it involves inspecting and adjusting the camber, toe, and caster angles on the front wheels.

  • Four-Wheel Alignment – Vehicles with independent or semi-independent rear suspensions will need to have the camber, toe, and caster angles inspected and adjusted on all four wheels; this is also called an all-wheel alignment.

Alignment Inspection

This is where all other alignment services begin. To fix alignment problems, our technicians have to figure out just how your vehicle is misaligned, and to what extent. They’ll check the camber, caster, and toe angles. To get an idea of camber and toe, picture looking at a vehicle from the front, and then from the top. If you look at your vehicle from the front and the wheels appear tilted inwards at the top, and outwards at the bottom, this is called negative camber. If the top of the wheel sticks out farther than the bottom, that’s called positive camber. Switch to the top-down view to figure out the vehicle’s toe angle. If the fronts of the wheels are closer together than the rear, that’s called toe-in. The opposite is toe-out. The caster angle is a little harder to picture, but it refers to the difference between the vertical line and the steering axis. Our technicians will check all three to see which wheels are out of alignment.
